From 25th May 2018 all businesses are obliged to explain how they will comply with new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).Ourselves and all of our customers are affected, so please read this important notice as it outlines our obligations to you & your Personal Data.

When you use H Wilson & Sons, you will give us some Personal Data in order to obtain the services we provide. For example, when you purchase a car or need servicing, maintenance or repairs, we will require your name address & contact details. We record this information for invoicing, warranty and administration purposes.

In such cases, we act as the Data Controller (as defined in the GDPR), and the GDPR imposes new legal obligations on us. So that we comply with these obligations, we are setting out the conditions under which we will process your Personal Data.

The GDPR requires Data Controllers to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security for Personal Data appropriate to the risk.

We will ensure that all personnel who have access to and/or process your Personal Data are obliged to keep the Personal Data confidential.

We will not transfer any Personal Data outside of our company except in cases were Hire Purchase, Leasing or any similar type of funding is required for new & used cars. In these cases we will produce an extensive list of the terms & conditions under which the Data will be used and transferred and provide an adequate level of protection to any such Personal Data.

We will notify you without undue delay on becoming aware of a Personal Data breach.

At your written request, we will delete your Personal Data, unless it is required for servicing, warranty & maintenance requirements, or for storage for a set time by law.

With effect from 25 May 2018, we will provide our services & products under these terms. If you do not agree to any of the above terms, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
